Discover one of Italy’s most fascinating archaeological sites—inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List—with a guided tour of the Paestum Ruins alongside Angelo Petillo, a licensed tour guide certified by the Campania Region.

As a local guide who conducts numerous tours here, I have designed this itinerary to immerse you in the history of Poseidonia-Paestum, tracing its evolution through the centuries: from its Greek foundation to the Lucanian and Roman periods, up to its abandonment and modern rediscovery during the Grand Tour.

Together, we will not only marvel at the famous Doric temples, but we will also explore the entire fabric of the ancient city to understand how it was structured. Our journey will span both the southern and northern sanctuaries, as well as the central public area, now defined by the Roman Forum and Amphitheater. Along the way, I will illustrate the Greek chora—the ancient countryside—and show you how that deep bond with the surrounding territory still lives on in today's Cilento.

Leveraging my experience and expertise, I will lead you on a clear, accessible journey filled with insights into ancient daily life, without ever compromising on historical depth. An experience driven by passion, ideal for those who wish to truly discover the soul of Paestum.
