Angelo Petillo

I am Angelo Petillo, a licensed tour guide, and for years I have been guiding visitors to discover the main archaeological sites of Campania.

My work stems from a deep passion for history and the region I live in. For me, sharing places like Paestum, Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Velia means opening up an extraordinary heritage, making it accessible, engaging, and fascinating for everyone.

Over time, I have gained extensive experience with groups, families, and individual visitors, tailoring every tour to the needs of those before me, with a clear, direct, and never tedious approach. Each site is an integral part of a broader territory that I love to weave into my storytelling.

My international perspective is rooted in my childhood: I grew up bilingual in Germany, a background that allowed me to develop an open mind toward different cultures from an early age. Following my German studies in Tourism Economics, I built a solid career in the sector, working for many years in dynamic and highly multicultural environments. Collaborating with hotels and event agencies, I held roles of responsibility, refining my organizational skills and commitment to guest care.

For over twenty years, I have chosen to put all this experience at the service of my true calling, working as a certified tour guide with unchanged passion. In recent years, in particular, I have decided to focus my activity on Cilento, my homeland: a region rich in nuances, traditions, and authentic beauty that I love to help those who trust in me discover and experience to the fullest.
